This kit for the diagram Great Central
Railway Diagram 17/17a/17b and the Cheshire Lines Committee Diagram 47
10T van is a re-release of the former R&E Models kit, with re-mastered whitemetal components.
Almost 1,000 were built unfitted and 131
were built with dual or vacuum brakes, although some of these were one
foot shorter. 500 remained in service at nationalisation in 1948 and
they would have lasted to the mid-1950s.
It is of etched brass construction and
includes w-irons and whitemetal axleboxes/springs and buffers. It can be
built for 00, EM and P4 scales.
Wheels (3ft. 1in. split-spoke) and
couplings, wire, glazing, paint and transfers are needed to complete the
kit.
