This kit is for the diagram 55 Great Central Railway refrigerator van of which 50 were built in 1904. It is a re-release of the former R&E Models kit with re-mastered whitemetal components.

The kit is of etched brass construction and includes w-irons and whitemetal axleboxes/springs and buffers. It can be built for 00, EM and P4 scales.

Wheels (3ft. 7in. Mansell) and couplings (screw on the prototype), wire, glazing, paint and transfers are needed to complete the kit. No roof is provided in the kit; this can be made from plasticard or thin metal sheet, according to the builder's preference.
